How it works

A board, and who is on top of it.

Two sides to understand: yours, if you run one, and your audience's, if they bid on it.

If you run a board

01

Name it

Pick a name and an address. The board goes live at its own address with your name on it, not ours.

02

Connect your Stripe

You paste a restricted key — one you can revoke at any moment. Usurp opens checkouts on your account. We never hold your money, so there is no payout to wait for.

03

Post it to your audience

That's the whole job. People who want to be seen by your audience bid for the top spot, and you keep everything they pay.

If you bid on one

01

Rank is the bid

Nothing else moves it. No algorithm, no editorial, no waiting. Highest bid is first; equal bids favour whoever got there first.

02

You pay once

A bid is a single payment, not a subscription. Your listing holds its place until someone pays more than you.

03

You can raise later

Enter the same URL again to move up, and you only pay the difference. That discount is yours alone — nobody can take your rank by paying the gap.

Where the money actually goes

bidder's card board owner's Stripe board owner's bank

Usurp is not in that line anywhere. We are software the owner points at their own Stripe account — we never receive, hold, or remit a bidder's money, and we take no percentage of it. We charge board owners for the software instead.

What is not allowed

Products and profiles only. No link shorteners, no chat or group invites, no adult content. Query strings are stripped from every URL, so referral and tracking parameters are discarded rather than stored. Board owners can remove anything from their own board.
